VOC-Free Table Tennis Rubber Glue – Loki Rxton One, 100 ml

Why I stock this particular glue

I have played table tennis since I was eight, was a multiple Berlin youth champion and currently play in the Oberliga (2120 TTR), with appearances in the German 3rd Bundesliga. On the YouTube channel TT-Test I regularly review table tennis equipment – and a fair amount of glue passes through my hands.

The one I stayed with is the Rxton One. The thick consistency is the decisive point: the glue spreads evenly without dripping off the applicator or sinking into thin patches – and it is exactly that even coat that decides whether you end up with a clean, bubble-free result. It holds exceptionally well and still comes off without any trouble when you change rubbers. Together with the price, that is the most complete package I have tested. How to glue your rubber

Preparation
For rubbers that are not new: peel the rubber off and rub the glue residue off the blade until the surface is clean. A new blade needs no preparation.

Option A – wet gluing (with the rubber press)

1. Apply an even coat of glue to the sponge side of the rubber using the applicator sponge included.
2. Apply one coat to the blade.
3. Do not let it dry – place the rubber on immediately and align it.
4. Put the racket into the rubber press and tighten the wing nuts evenly.
5. Let it cure in the press for 2–4 hours, depending on room temperature and humidity. Overnight never hurts.
6. Trim the rubber along the edge of the blade with sharp rubber cutting scissors (also available here in the shop).

The advantage: no rolling on, no tension in the rubber – and under even pressure the glue spreads without streaks or bubbles.

Option B – dry gluing (classic, without a press)

1. A thin, even coat on the sponge side of the table tennis rubber.
2. Let it air-dry for about 10 minutes – the glue is then transparent and no longer wet.
3. Another thin coat on the sponge side of the rubber, and now a thin coat on the blade.
4. Roll the rubber on from one side and press it down without pulling on it.
5. Trim it – done.
